Midlife Opportunity (Midlife Crisis)
Midlife Opportunity (Midlife Crisis) - I help people find the open door leading out of their midlife opportunity (midlife crisis) to a path where they’ll experience a whole new mindset, a world of realistic possibilities, empowerment, a greater sense of clarity and resilience, and a new life with no limitations.
Life Direction/Life Purpose
I help people explore their values, passions, strengths, and goals, by guiding them towards a more fulfilling and meaningful life so they can live in alignment with their life’s purpose with a clear sense of direction and a reframed mindset.
Inheritance Mindfulness
I help people who have recently inherited significant (it’s subjective) wealth, property, and/or assets to navigate this life-changing event with emotional support, decision-making awareness, and to cultivate gratitude and mindfulness so their life aligns with their values and future endeavors.
Expat Relocation
I help people thrive and adapt to their new environment and make a smooth transition by providing support, resources, guidance with cultural adjustment, networking, social connections, and with overcoming challenges and difficulties.
Fatherhood
I help dads become a better father by finding a deeper sense of life purpose and meaning in order to leave a positive, long-lasting legacy for their child/children.
SEEING A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
“I stand upon my desk to remind myself that we must constantly look at things in a different way.” - John Keating (Robin Williams’ character)
I know this will date me, but this was a 1989 American film directed by Peter Weir and starred the late Robin Williams. If you haven’t seen this movie, I highly recommend it. There’s one scene in particular which resonated deeply within me after I returned from Japan in December 1988 following a semester of studying in Kyoto because it’s about seeing the world from a different perspective. It’s been with me ever since. If you go to YouTube and search for “Dead Poets Society-standing on desks-Professor Keating teaches a different perspective”, you’ll be able to see this scene.
I mention that particular scene because going through a transition as an expat is just like standing on that desk. Often, though, the view from there isn’t always clearly visible. Also, due to a lack of a support system, it’s quite possible to find oneself standing on that desk alone. As your expat transition life coach, I’ll be there for you and can help you see the path heading toward a place where you can enjoy a better quality of life.
